Cave Castle is in the minority when it comes to looking for a Hotel with its own golf course. Nestling in 150 acres of rolling countryside at the foot of the Wolds our 18-hole course provides a good test for all levels of golfer. Opened in 1989 the course is maturing well and has a good mix of undulating meadow and parkland holes. Trees and water come into play on a number of holes and the large pond in the middle of the 9th hole makes you think carefully with your tee shot. The 13th is a long dogleg par 5 which lulls you into a sense of security however beware the out of bounds on either side or the strategically placed bunkers before you turn for the green. The one special thing about Cave Castle is the peace and quiet – surrounded by farmland the only noise is the wildlife and banter of other players!

The 19th hole offers a warm and friendly welcome where you can sit and relax after your round of golf. Fully licensed; refreshments, snacks and meals are available throughout the day.

The Castle provides a superb setting for Golf Breaks and many golfers come back year after year to enjoy our hospitality. We offer a variety of packages - overnight stays, 2-3 days weekdays or weekends and can cater for large or small parties. Our Golf Administrator, Jane Simpson will be pleased to discuss details with you and to tailor a Golf Break to suit you and your golfing companions’ requirements.

Society Days are also available as well as Pay and Play. 2-Fore-1 vouchers are accepted, subject to availability of tee times. Special rates are available at certain times of the year.

Our resident Golf Professional, Steve MacKinder offers a well stocked shop and would be pleased to assist with your game. Individual or group lessons can be booked, details on request from the Pro Shop.
